Issue one was not just a lucky hit. BALLISTIC is the real deal and bound to fill that gap folks may be missing from the lack of inspiring Vertigo books on the shelves these days. Issue two just seals the deal that I’m into BALLISTIC for the long haul and if you like innovative comic booking, you should be too.
4 out of 5 stars
Not very comics leave me with a combination of euphoria and depression at the same time, but the brilliantly dystopian world that Adam Egypt Mortimer and Darick Robertson create with Ballistic put me in a thoroughly alien state of mind.

Am I lost? Well hell yes, but I couldn’t imagine a more creative world to be sucked into.

Essentially, if the first issue of “Ballistic” had you intrigued, this one definitely will not put you off. It’s still overwhelmingly inventive, bursting with ideas and colour and detail, and it’s still a bit hard to follow. But then, this may be one of those cases where the overall gestalt of a comic is so gobsmacking that it’s easy to overlook the flaws.
